Robert Garrett
Founding Attorney
Robert Garrett is the founder of Garrett Law Office and a dedicated advocate for justice, with a rare blend of legal insight and real-world experience. Before becoming an attorney, Robert spent over 20 years working as a tire technician, specializing in semi-truck and earth mover tires. His blue-collar background shaped not only his strong work ethic but also his deep empathy for the everyday challenges faced by working people and underserved communities.
Robert earned his Juris Doctor from the Indiana Institute of Technology School of Law in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 2019 and is licensed to practice in all Indiana state courts, as well as the U.S. District Courts for both the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
His legal career began in public service—as a Deputy Public Defender in Lawrence County—followed by roles as a Deputy Prosecutor in both Lawrence and Owen Counties. These dual perspectives give Robert a comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice system and a strategic advantage in the courtroom.
At Garrett Law Office, Robert focuses on representing individuals who often feel unseen or unheard in the legal system—those he calls “the untouchables of society.” He is also the author of an upcoming book exploring the impact of the criminal justice system on marginalized populations, part of his broader mission to advocate for reform and social justice.
Robert Garrett brings a powerful combination of lived experience, legal skill, and unshakable commitment to his clients—fighting for fair treatment, second chances, and the dignity every person deserves.
